Proud to support Friends Fighting Cancer

We are local people, with big hearts, who are passionate about supporting our local communities and charities. In 2022, Bernards is delighted to continue our support for Friends Fighting Cancer, a Portsmouth based cancer charity that supports local families who are going through one of the toughest times in their lives.

Since 2008, this amazing charity has made a real difference –

• Raised over £1 million in funds
• Given out 200+ in charitable grants to individuals
• Supported more than 24 cancer charities

As a charity partner, Bernards is getting involved with FFC’s fundraising and sporting events, including the annual FFC Portsmouth Football Tournament with around 200 amateur players coming together over a series of charity football matches, each team playing in memory of a named individual.

This year, our Managing Director, Daniel Byrne is proudly heading up and managing one of the 8 football teams involved – Team Fitzgerald. Other members of the Bernards team are also involved and playing in his and other teams. This tournament’s matches are already underway, with the final of the friendly competition to be held in a few weeks time.

Daniel’s team have already played their Round 1 match and we are delighted to report that Team Fitzgerald were victorious! Good luck for Round 2!
