Property Ombudsman
The Property Ombudsman (TPO) scheme.
The Property Ombudsman or TPO scheme was set up in 1990 to provide property agents and consumers with a dispute resolution service. Resolutions are designed to achieve a full and final settlement of the dispute and all claims made by either party. The Ombudsman can, where appropriate, make compensatory awards in individual cases and we feel as a responsible agent, it was right to participate in this scheme for mediation when issues arise. Tenancy Deposit Scheme
TDS
At Bernards we want our rental clients to feel protected and therefore work within the regulations put in place by the TDS. The Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) is operated by The Dispute Service Ltd. TDS has two main roles to protect deposits and to help resolve disputes about deposits. TDS is an industry-owned and government-approved tenancy deposit protection scheme for the residential lettings market. To learn more, click here.
